My wife and I recently bought an inverter which was advertised for R13999 on the take alot app. The product was a Mecer axpert inverter model soli-ax-m4 5.6kva 5600w hybrid inverter. We purchased a svolt lithium battery for R22 000 on the same app. The box for the mecer inverter charger had the mecer sticker with serial numbers. I was not happy that the product had no mecer name on the inverter. However the technician installed it and when he tried to configure it he said it doesnt seem to be a mecer however he did a fantastic and professional job and set the charger and battery. I got suspicious and did telephone mustek head office to Mecer products who confirmed that the inverter serial no or barcode that i supp**** was not rgistered with their inventory and the product is not theirs. My wife immediately telephoned take alot and reported the situation as *****. The company to be aware of is TECHITSTORE they are using the take alot app to commit *****. l will definitely open a case of ***** against this TECHITSTORE as the product is a **** Mecer and could burn my house down.. Now who is going to pay for removing the product and fitting a new one. Takealot needs to take responsibility for this as well this is a huge amount purchased. Why could they not verify the product with Mustek like I did. This is not on taking advantage of pensioners. Your platform for selling products you need to take responsibility as well you are equally responsible for a customers money. Totally disappointed
