3 week delivery

I used to be a dedicated Takealot shopper but I'm starting to agree with everyone who shops at Amazon. Takealot is local yet I sometimes, like with my previous order, have to wait three weeks for my order to arrive where the same order (same types of products) get shipped from overseas through Amazon and arrives in one week. How can a local company take longer to deliver products available in SA than a company who ships the products from overseas? Not only does Takealot take longer to deliver (I could have arranged to go and buy the products myself by now), they increased their free delivery fee a while back. I'd assume a more costly delivery fee would at least amount to more timely delivery. It's time to take my business somewhere else. Very disappointed.
