Maladministration, Incorrect Tuition and poor Feedback

It is with great frustration that I am writing this email.

My son is a registered student at the Randburg campus and is registered for his N3 or N4 in Electrical Engineering.

At the end of his N3 exams / term in August, two of his subjects were referred nationally for a remark. The information we have is that there was a paper leak and that once the remark had been completed he would be informed. Students were told they need register for both the N3 & N 4 exams for these subjects and would be informed closer to the time. There were a further two subjects that he apparently failed, however he requested a remark on these two. We have paid all the appropriate fees.

He is registered for both N3 & N4 exams and at the Taalnet he has registered & paid for the N4 subjects. However he is being taught N3 subjects – his lecturer has been suggesting. Exams are less than 3 weeks away and there is still no clarity on this.

We has regularly been calling Bernhard at the Randburg campus, he has no information and never calls us back. We have called the national marking centre who a month ago told us that the re-marks have been done, however they are not allowed to give us the results.

The nett effect of all this is that my son is severely prejudice din terms of his education. We have paid for N4 subjects, however he is receiving N3 tuition. He is registered for exams, but still not sure which exams he is writing.

As a matter of urgency we want our concerns addressed. We want answers in terms of why we have not received results and we want answers as to why we have registered and paid for N4 tuition and are receiving N3 tuition.
