******** deduction of my bank account for no cleaning

I suddenly got a deduction of my bank account from Sweepsouth but they havnt cleaned my house in more that 2 months and the last cleaning was paid for. On enquiry via email they first said they reserve the money in my account ( I had a cleaning booked for the following Tuesday) On enquiring how they can reserve money I didn't get a answer

Then on demanding they pay my money back I got a invoice for a unpaid cleaning for the 11th of April 2017 !! 2 years and 7 months ago!!! I wasn't even living at that address as I have moved out on the 1st . They are refusing to pay my money back !!!

Hi Jacolleen,

Thank you for your review - we're so sorry to have caused some confusion in this regard and want to ensure we provide you with clarity on the above.

All clients will have received an email earlier this week about a change to our payments process. As you had a booking scheduled for 19 November, estimated to cost R272, this amount was pre-authorized (5 days before the scheduled date of the booking) - this means that we place a hold on the amount and it remains in a pending/reserved state in your account. As you have now cancelled the booking, this hold will fall away (the time period associated with this hold falling away is controlled/managed by your bank, but usually occurs within 5 days). We do want to assure you though that the funds have not physically left your bank account.

A booking took place on 11 April 2017 and we were unable to recoup the costs of the booking - you will have been sent 3 emails to notify you of our failed attempts. Subsequently, we have been unable to recoup this fee. As such this amount remains outstanding which is why you will have been contacted in this regard.
