They do NOT take responsibility when their staff *****
They absolutely SUCK at taking responsibility. Not only did the cleaning lady clean AROUND my furniture, she sat on my wifi the entire day, logged an extra hour and STOLE $350 (+-R5000) from my wallet. Sweepsouth's response: "... theft of money is not covered by insurance, as is standard with South African Insurance, this is not covered as there is no way to prove that the money was there in the first place." I am appalled! This is THEIR employee. How do they vet? Oh, and they changed the person I booked at the last minute and sent the one who came and totally disrupted my safe space. How do they now not take responsibility???? I was told to go and open a case. REALLY!?!?!? This was money for an overseas business trip coming up on Sunday. I will tell every single person I know, on every possible platform I can, to NOT use them.
Thank you for raising this with us and we would like to apologise on behalf of the SweepStar who came to your home and did not clean as well as she could have. We require all of our SweepStars to be efficient and complete all tasks at hand carefully when coming to assist with your cleaning and we are bitterly sorry that this was not your experience. It is important to us that our SweepStars offer a high level of service and we will ensure that we support your SweepStar in understanding this.
All SweepStars are independent contractors (not employees) who make use of the platform in order to be visible and available to clients who require their services.
Our ******** checks are carried out in accordance with the South African gold standard. We even receive data if they have ever been charged with a crime. We would never permit a SweepStar to be activated on our platform with any ******** history. SweepSouth utilises the AFISwitch ******** Illicit Activity Check, the only ******** verification check available to the South African corporate market since the discontinuation of the SAPS Name Clearance ******** Check in mid 2011. Unfortunately, as is standard with South African insurers, we are not unable to cover the theft of money, however, we are presently addressing this matter with the SweepStar and our private investigator. The private investigator has already begun the investigation and we strongly urge you to lay a charge at your police station to ensure that this is recorded.
We would like to sincerely apologise again for the inconvenience caused as a result of the incident. Our team is currently in touch with you via email regarding this incident and we do look forward to providing you with any support you may need to get this sorted.
