Sweepstar burnt my bedding, first and last time using their services.
First time trying SweepSouth and the sweepstar they allocated to me (not the one I had booked for) was 30 minutes late and burnt my bedding when ironing. I’ve had this linen for many years because of its quality so for it to be burnt with an iron by someone who is supposed to be experienced in this is annoying.
Their Surestart cover is also pointless as you will not get a response after you claim a few hours after the incident.
Customer support takes you from pillar to post with no assistance. Safe to say I will be using other cleaning services in Joburg.

11 Apr 2026, 12:01Hi there,
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re truly sorry to hear about your experience.
We completely understand how upsetting it must have been to have your bedding damaged—especially given its value and how long you’ve had it. This is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide.
We’d also like to clarify that we did communicate with you regarding the claims process and guided you on how to proceed with submitting your insurance claim, and we remain available to assist further should you need any support with this.
We regret that this experience has left you feeling this way, and your feedback has been noted as we continue working to improve both our service and support processes.
Kind regards,

26 Apr 2026, 16:47The insurance claim was submitted to Surestart less than 24 hours after the sweepstar left my residence and me noticing the burnt bedding.
What I’m saying is there is no point in taking the Surestart cover because one, they do not process claims and secondly they have not gotten back to me even after I followed up with them via email.
I probably sent over four emails to Surestart in the space of a month and no one ever really got back to me regarding my claim.
This raises the question of what recourse your customers have in the event of damage or theft.
