Multiple Damages to property

I had a sweepstar automatically assigned to me after my normal one couldn't make it. I spoke to this sweepstar on arrival and warned her to take her time and be careful when cleaning as I have had numerous sweepstars act carelessly and break many different items. When I arrived home when she was complete she had broken a granite table of mine. I contacted sweepsouth and informed them this had happened again, but they don't seem to care and they say I accept the risk. But why should I? Are their employees not trained? The table is valued at R2000. Must I just accept this? They now tell me I can go through their insurance process but it easier to just claim from mine. It can take 30 days. I have been asked for numerous unrelated documents to now lodge this claim. After submitting I've heard nothing from them. Absolute joke. With this kind of business insurance should be a top priority and customers should come first and be treated with respect.

Hello Shane,

Thank you for your review.

This is extremely disappointing to read that your experience has fallen short of what we aim to provide our clients, especially since you had an item of your home damaged. We would like to apologise for this incident and delay in assisting with the process of raising a claim on our side.

Kindly note that SweepStars are independent contractors and therefore we do not offer training in regards to their cleaning. However, when joining our platform, applicants need to ensure they have at least 2 years cleaning experience with reputable references. Once on our platform, we do ensure that we guide SweepStars in improving their cleaning quality by assessing feedback and ratings from clients. However, as you mentioned this was not the case and we sincerely apologise as your SweepStar should have been more cautious in your home. We do understand that accidents happen, which is why we have our insurance process in place. This is a very long process, due to the policies we have in place as well as the guidelines we need to follow with our insurance and to ensure that we have all the necessary documents needed to proceed. We do try to make it as seamless as possible but we do see that we have let you down.

We can assure that we have received your documents and proceeded to raise a claim on our end. To follow-up, we have popped you an email to confirm the processes.
