Poor quality of Swarovski jewellery

My fiancé bought a sterling silver engagement ring set from Swarovski in Liberty mall in November 2018. Six months later, the sterling silver starts coming off. We went to Swarovski in Liberty mall with the slip and asked them what to do. The lady just said that there is nothing they can do for us seeing as the ring got into contact with water. I explained to her that I don't use the ring when working with water, however, I take it off in the bathroom before showering. She said then it is the steam from the shower water that is making the silver come off. A year later and the ring is totally spoiled with bronze sticking out at the bottom of the silver layer. I am so dissappointed in the poor service from Swarovski. There were no solution given to the problem.
