Surf4Life - THOMAS MAKAMU

A call was logged on the 16th instant reporting my inability to connect to the Wi-fi. A technician by the name Thomas Makamu was assigned to attend to checking out the fault. The appointment was scheduled on Friday for Monday the 20th. I called around 13:23 yesterday enquiring what time I should expect the technician. A consultant advised he would call Thomas to find out and call me back. The consultant kept to his word as he called back to advise that Thomas had advised that he can’t commit to a time, however, will still come through. He asked for permission to give my number to Thomas so he could arrange with me accordingly. I waited and waited until I decided to call the offices again at 17:17. Thomas was called again and changed his tune this time around citing that he got delayed elsewhere and would come the following morning. He indeed arrived with a stinking attitude, no sense of accountability when questioned if he thought it was okay for me to previously wait the whole day for him. Seeing that my number was given to him, he could at least have called me and advised that he would no longer be coming and asked to come today. But no, he obviously thinks I have nothing to do with my time, and I can wait for him all day, only for him not to pitch. He had the nerve to tell me that he didn’t call to schedule an appointment with me, and that the office is at fault for scheduling an appointment on his behalf. He completely dismissed the fact that he was in communication with the office and I was updated with the summary of their discussion. How else would I have known that he committed to coming, before requesting to coming the following day because he got delayed? The most sensible thing that he could have done was to apologize for keeping me waiting the entire day and having wasted my time at that. In fact, he gave me an option to either check what is wrong with the connection or leave without checking? Is my access to Wi-fi free? The last time I checked, I pay a monthly fee for the use of same. I did not and will not tolerate such service from a boy that displays signs of having an IQ below average, lacks comprehension and takes no accountability, instead willingly throws his colleagues under the bus. May he please be reminded that he represents Surf4life and needs to take accountability and apologize for inconveniences caused to customers. Perhaps the company can consider arranging for him to attend customer service training.
