UNACCEPTABLE SUPPORT SERVICE FROM SUPERSONIC
My internet has been out since 26/04/2022 after thunder. We identified that there is no signal from the fibre box, there is no LOS light even though on in port 2. We reported to Supersonic immediately. First off, communication quality was horrible, more than once, various calls, either bad phone or the person's microphone is too close. I was told on 26/04/2022 that he could not give me a ticket number at that time but it was reported to Openserve and that they will contact me. I received no call from Openserve. I phoned back on 28/04/2022 and received the ticket number SST027289 but the person was unable to tell me what is happening on Openserve's side. I was told they would speak to the person who reported the problem and will get back to me. Nothing from either Supersonic or Openserve. Phoned again on 29/04/2022 and 30/04/2022 and same response. Reported on the whatsapp channel as well. Nothing. Phoned again this morning and was first told they don't see any ticket number, then found it when I gave it again, then told again that the first person I spoke to will have to be contacted and then they will phone me back. I rejected this, obviously this first person could not be the only one to assist. I was asked for a BN number on the fibre box, we could only see the S/N number. I was finally given an Openserve support number 3BRK250422 as I was also holding on to Openserve on another call. Though I accept that the problem is also on Openserve's side, the support received from Supersonic was horrible. When you pay over a R1 000 for a fibre line (actually any amount, service is service) you expect to be helped and not with vague answers, almost as if they hope they can placate you and get you off the line as quickly as possible. I can not function without internet, I'm an accountant working from home. The service is totally unacceptable. You choose a service provider not just for the line but also to sort out the problems with the middle person. Openserve doesn't even pick up their phones.
