Three Weeks Waiting for a Simple Fibre Activation
I genuinely cannot put into words how frustrated I am with this experience.
Today marks three weeks since I have been waiting for Supersonic to come to my home and activate my fibre line. To make matters worse, this is not even a new installation. There is an existing Openserve fibre line at the property that was left by the previous tenant, so this should have been a straightforward activation.
So, what exactly is the delay?
I have received completely conflicting information from different customer service representatives. Initially, I was advised that activation would take 24–72 hours, only to later be told 7–14 business days. We are now well beyond those timelines, and I am still sitting without a working connection.
My first two orders were cancelled because I was told that my area had no fibre coverage. I provided proof of the Openserve coverage and even sent photographs of the existing fibre line at my home. Surely, at that point, the issue should have been resolved.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
I have been calling every second day, and every time I speak to someone new, I receive the same generic response with absolutely no progress. It feels like I am simply being passed from one person to the next while the issue remains unresolved.
I work from home, so having no reliable internet connection is not a minor inconvenience. It is directly affecting my ability to work and causing unnecessary stress.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I have already made an upfront payment for a service I have yet to receive.
At this point, I simply want someone to take ownership of the issue, provide me with an accurate update, and actually get the line activated.
And just to be clear, I would be very surprised if Supersonic expects to debit me for a service that has not been provided. I have been patient for three weeks, but that patience is wearing extremely thin.
Supersonic, please sort this out. I should not have to chase your company every second day for a basic fibre activation.
