Supersonic Random Debit Order Two Years After Cancellation
Supersonic is out of control! Signed up June 2020. Support team and installation team assured me that because our complex units already had fibre installed, no claw-back installation fee would apply should I cancel early. Only that I return the router (more on this later). I cancelled in Oct 2020 due to constant fibre disconnects and outages. Sent my cancellation request via email and received confirmation that it is in process. Guess what happens? R 2,800 cancellation claw-back on my statement. A **** tonne of calls later I decide to re-instate the service and "cancel" my cancellation. I receive confirmation that my services have been re-activated as well as a credit note (this was on the 30th of November 2020). On 1 December 2020 it happens... I receive an SMS notification stating R 3,591 has been debited from my account. This being after I had already received confirmation via credit note. So I reverse the debit order. On 1 June 2021 I request cancellation on the account as I'm relocating. No confirmation this time that the cancellation is in process. I mail them again on the 3rd of June, and again on the 4th of June, also no confirmations received. Eventually I call them and they say that they can see I want to cancel and received the request. I then personally drop off the router at their Cape Town offices! After that, no further comms from Supersonic, no phone calls, no emails confirming cancellation or regarding payment issues. Forward to June/July 2023. I receive and SMS in each month stating that R 1,000 was debited from my account. Literally out of nowhere this company runs a debit magtape for an amount that doesn't even match my original subsription (R 695 pm). And each month I've reversed this debit order. I am aware of debit order processes and rights, and to my knowledge, Supersonic my not deduct a different amount than that which was agreed upon without written consent /verbal agreement / radion button agreement, from the customer. To add to this, Supersonic has never sent me a debit mandate confirming my debit order with them. Just a call back in 2020 and whoops it's in place. Supersonic has not called or emailed me in 2+ years, and decides to just randomly start deducting R 1,000 from my account without any communication in any format and for an un-agreed amount. @Supersonic; note this: I will reverse every single debit order you send through for the next 30 years if I have to. You did not follow procedure/s in any form or manner for either cancellations / confirmations / amendments and arrangements. You are welcome to contact me to discuss further, but I will not pay you a single cent.
