A Supersonic Disaster, like the Concorde.
After requesting a cancellation at the end of May, everything went downhill with Supersonic. Their retentions agent gave me a call, and was super friendly, until he realized that he would not be retaining me, at which point the tone of the conversation completely shifted, he became rude and unfriendly. After informing him that I would prefer to use my own courier to return their router, he informed me that it's not recommended, as "things can go wrong" and I would then be liable for paying for the router, which is convenient as their courier service costs R250, so my first wonder is, how much of that fee goes to Supersonic, given they are so adamant you make use of their courier. From here, it actually got worse. In mid June, my service was "accidentally" disconnected relating to the cancellation, and my speeds were down to single digits in the evenings. After numerous support tickets, it was finally resolved. Fast forward to the end of July. After confirming, numerous times, with their "retentions agent", that no payment would be due at the end of July, due to my service being cancelled on 31 July, what happened? They loaded, and drew the debit order, leading to me having to return it with my bank. After eventually getting through to a supervisor from their cancellations department, I was promised that they were talking with Finance, and would ensure my account remained active, as I had already reversed their ******* debit order. Can you guess what happened next, dear reader? My service was suspended AGAIN, before the cut off time, and on a Saturday, when you can't reach anyone but their tech support. I eventually got it reconnected later that day. I just got off the phone with someone from them, to arrange collection of their router, funny how fast and easy it is for them to contact you then, hey? We'll see where it goes, and I'll update this if they continue with their scaly practice, and try to charge me for a working router.
