10 days since my fibre connection went down
Dear MTN Supersonic and Openserve, I am extremely frustrated with the ongoing lack of service. Today marks 10 days since my fibre connection went down on 24 January 2025, and despite multiple calls, escalations, and even a technician visit, my service remains disconnected. Latest Updates & Continued Failures:1 February 2025: Openserve technicians visited and confirmed that the issue is with the Telkom box. However, they claimed they did not have the tools to fix it. Call to Telkom: I was assured that Telkom technicians would resolve the issue before Sunday, 2 February 2025.No Follow-up: As of today, 3 February 2025, I have received no call, email, or update from MTN Supersonic, Openserve, or Telkom. Ongoing Payments: I am paying for a service that does not exist, with no clear resolution in sight. This Level of Service is Unacceptable.10 days without internet is completely unreasonable. No accountability: Each party keeps passing responsibility while the customer suffers. Lack of urgency: I have had to chase this issue daily, yet no one provides clear answers. Immediate Action Required: Urgent Fix: I demand an immediate resolution—this must be treated as a high-priority case. Compensation: I expect a refund or service credit for the days I have been without internet. Official Response: I want a written response from MTN Supersonic and Openserve explaining the delay and the expected resolution timeframe. If this issue is not resolved within 24 hours, I will escalate my complaint to ICASA (Independent Communications Authority of South Africa) and other consumer protection bodies. I expect an urgent response and a clear plan for restoring my service.
