VOUCHERS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE

I recently purchased from Superbalist and at first was really impressed with their service.
I shop online often - very often- but was extremely impressed with their service and website.

but that changed very quickly.

i had a R200 voucher that i used, but the catch was i needed to spend R250 to get the R200 off. that was fine, i ended up spending R288 (putting in R88 and R200 voucher)
I returned my item as it was not what I expected, there was no problem with that as i was advised.

i get a refund of R88 which was fine as that was what I paid, I queried twice what to do with my voucher as the code i used previously had been used and not creditted/reinststed nor had i been given a new voucher to use instead.

i eventually get a reply today after waiting 2 weeks, this is the reply:

in the event of a return we can only refund a customer for the value of the cash paid in to us. Unfortunately in the even of a refund all promotional vouchers fall away and the system can only refund for the amount received (R88).

is that even legal?

if i knew that was the case, i would of just kept the item. instead of losing out R200 i worked hard.

i would like an explanation.

Hello jester89,

I completely understand your frustration in this regard and would like to apologise for this, however each promotional voucher does come with T's and C's around them and this can be found in our Terms and Conditions page. For your reference: http://superbalist.com/terms_and_conditions

This particular section can be found under the Promotional Voucher Codes.

Kind Regards,
Chloe Moos.
