Refusal to deliver at my unit and afterwards claiming I refused delivery

The Takealot delivery person for this parcel has just called and when I asked him to deliver at my unit, he said that I must come outside to the ramp where he’s parked and collect it myself and hung up. Do I live on the ramp? Disgusting.

I called he back to which he responded I can go ahead and report him for refusing to deliver at my unit.

I’m appalled that you have delivery people who are this disrespectful and unprofessional.

This is not even the first time this is happening either and his comfort level in engaging this way with me tells me that he knows he will not be held accountable.

About 30 minutes later I get an sms saying that they couldn’t deliver because I refused to accept the delivery. Absolutely appalling that delivery staff disrespects customers like this.

What really annoying is the fact that it’s not the first time that delivery staff have refused to deliver at my unit. The majority deliver with no issues but every once in a while, when I experience a bad it’s a really awful one.
