Poor delivery/****

I ordered from the yesterday and paid for next day delivery ,i received emails and messages from them throughout the day advising ky order will be delivered before 5p.m today . I then receive an email at 5p.m saying my order has been delivered ,when ?how ??? It very upsetting because what the use of paying extra if they know they wont deliver on time
