No refund on hideous item of clothing
<p>I ordered a "Big Easy Tassle Poncho" from Superbalist, but when I received it it was not what I expected, it was described as a 'thick jersy material', but it is a horrible, thin synthetic material that looks awful and I want to return it, but they have refused to refund me and their reason for not refunding is that it was marked as a clearance product. I don't think that this practice is legal and I am very unhappy that I have had to pay R419.00 for a hideous item of clothing that I will never ever wear. I was under the impression that according to the Consumer Protection Act consumers have the right to return goods that were not pre-examined prior to delivery - surely this means that I should be able to return this item for a refund even if it is marked as a clearance item.</p>

Unfortunately, the clearance sale items are marked, on the product page, as Final Sale products which mean that they cannot be returned or exchanged once purchased.

Christia was very helpful and agreed to refund the article as it was not what I had expected and the fabric differed from the description on the website. I still have reservations about Superbalist's policy of not refunding sale/clearance products as these products cannot be pre-examined before delivery and I would certainly never consider purchasing an item that is marked sale/clearance from them again.
