drivers thumbsuck who you are at address

I was told my parcel will be delivered on 10/02/2020. it is 15:30 and my parcel has not been delivered. upon tracking my order, the status was updated to "delivery unsuccessful as client could not supply cash" or something to that nature. i then called because this was untrue and spoke to 3 different people, one of which was Cassandra, the supervisor who told me my parcel wasn't delivered today because their courier is not instructed to call or ask for you at an address. i can understand if a driver can not call but their drivers can at least ask for you at reception or ask the guard for you at your home address if your address is secured. how else will he know if you are there or not???? this is quiet disappointing.
