Awful quality for price and they do not care

I bought a pair of Steve Madden shoes in May 2023. These shoes cost R1 500. I work a desk job, so they have hardly been walked in since then. A week ago the sole of the shoes split in half, almost all the way through the base. After emailing my complaint to customer service, which included my concerns over brand quality, all they did was offer a half-assed apology and a ****ty 20% discount. Shoes that expensive should last at least another year, and the fact that Superbalist and Steve Madden couldn't care less is genuinely proving our point that brands could not be bothered to create items that actually last. This trend companies take part in, where items are made cheap so you buy more, is very evident, even with more expensive brands like SM. I will never recommend these companies or items to anyone. They are basically ****ming you for your money.
