DLAMINI SUPASTORE DISAPPOINTMENT

On Sunday, 9th October 2022, my sister and I went to Supastore around 5pm because I wanted to get 1. Stationery for school for myself 2. Some food items like spices and instant porridge 3. Calamine lotion for my neck since I have Eczema and it acts up when it's hot

Unfortunately, I left with none of these items and I regretted the trip because from the moment we entered through the door the staff was standing around complaining about the door that is still open meanwhile they must knock off at 6pm. This was 5:15pm. Around 5:30pm the doors were closed. The staff started walking around the aisles shouting, "finish up, the shop is closed and the cashiers are cashing up on the tills!" Then they went and stood at the front counter while the queue was long and there was only two cashiers in the tills. One of the workers suggested to the lady that looked like Supervisisor to open up another till or two but she refused. A man who went to fetch yoghurt for his child while doing his transaction at the till together with the cashier were harshly spoken too for holding up the queue while they waited for the man to fetch the things. "We don't wait for a customer to go fetch things when it's closing!" Several workers said. I couldn't get the things I came for because of this. Another one stood next to the queues telling her friend that if they don't rush us we may never leave the store. It was as if we are not customers that they need to keep the shop open there. There was already no one at the front counter where medication and that sort of stock is kept hence I couldn't get calamine lotion, I couldn't get stationery because I needed to check prices and couldn't with being told to hurry and finish.

I have been a Supastore customer for years as I have lived in Dlamini all my life. We know Supastore to close at 7:30pm. It saddened me to be treated in that manner as a paying customer. The reason for this was because they were having a staff PARTY! I don't get how customers that are already inside the shop would be treated like that because you are closing EARLIER than your normal time because of a STAFF PARTY. I truly hope that this will never happen again, as a regular customer.
