Very rude manager.

I was a happy customer who enjoyed the benefits of having a Sunshine Cash & Carry opened closest to my house – Westgate branch, until the store manager ill-treat me.

I bought 2 packs of hair extensions on Sunday, 11th Nov 2018, at Sunshine Cash & Carry Westgate Branch and unfortunately for me when I opened it on Wednesday to do my kids hair I realised that I took the weave hair extensions not the one for braids. I then decided to go back to the shop on the 15th Nov 2018 to exchange the 2 packs so that I can get the one I can braid with. The manager was called to assist me, he then informed me that hair extensions can’t be exchanged. I was shocked because no one informed me about this when I bought it. He said there’s a notice on the hair extensions isle and when I told him there isn’t as I didn’t see it. He said there’s someone who was supposed to tell me this when I bought it. I told him that I wouldn’t have come here to exchange if someone had informed me prior to buying the hair extensions. I asked him if they say we can’t exchange it then am I allowed to open the hair extension before buying it to ensure that I get the right one, he said that’s also not allowed. He couldn’t even explain to us why they were not allowed to exchange, he simply said he doesn’t know why. When we asked to them speak to someone who can explain he said we can’t! Just imagine a whole manager responding like that to a customer. His behaviour made it difficult for us to understand why they don’t exchange.

I asked him if does that mean I should go buy elsewhere to my surprise he said yes, he doesn’t care if we go elsewhere. I’m extremely disappointed and hurt by his bad attitude and lack of costumer centric attitude and how rudely he treated my husband and I when we tried to reason with him and he told us that he can’t help us, and we should leave. It’s disappointing that we have some so-called store managers who don’t give a damn about customers.

After what I went through makes it difficult for me to go buy their next time or even recommend the store to my friends and neighbours, clearly all they care about is our money.
