I never thought I would get so excited about a dentist!

I visited the Fourways branch in Lone Hill, in Sunset Avenue.

The night before I visited I had excruciating toothache which I could even feel in my brain. I called on Sunday morning and they let me know what time I could come in, I didn't wait too long after filling the forms. The place is easy to find and really clean. The staff are very friendly and organised. Someone came around to offer refreshments, I declined because anything I drank made my tooth worse.

When I got to see the dentist he soon discovered that I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth (the last wisdom tooth I have only because no other dentist could extract it over the past decade because its close to the bone, all said I need surgery). He said I could do surgery or have it extracted the normal way. I opted to go for a normal extraction and he did an x-ray to make sure that the roots are straight. At every step of the way I was explained what was going on and told what will happen next and it was all done in simple wording that I could understand.

It took only a few minutes to extract and there was ZERO pain (there was some pressure as usual when extracting a tooth). I thought I would feel pain after the anaesthetic wore off later in the night but there was no pain at all even after the area was no longer numb. The next day, still no pain, a few days later still no pain. As I am typing this review it is a week later and I have still not experienced any pain.

Some medication was prescribed and I just walked across the road to Clicks to get that, I feel like I didn't need any of the pain killers because there really was no pain but I took them anyway as well as the anti-biotic. I was also given instructions for after care verbally and in the form of a pamphlet. The costs involved were very reasonable too. I will be back again for cleaning and to speak to them about whitening.

I have NEVER had such a great dental experience like I did here. I have been telling everyone about it. These are my new dentists!
