Unknown Status if Shipment and No Communication

I contracted Stuttaford Van Lines (SVL) to ship my household goods from Cape Town to Raleigh, NC - LCL 8-10 weeks. The shipment was fully paid for and packed in mid July.<br> <br> On Aug 12, the SVL sales person I worked with emailed to say that I owed addition funds. He admitted fault to the situation, but asked that I pay SVL through their website to complete my move (approx R 18 000). He said he would pay me back monthly and asked that I not tell anyone else because he was afraid that he would lose his job.<br> <br> I made several enquiries to SVL via email and phone calls (from the USA) attempting to resolve the issue with no response from the SVL Office Manager. Each time I left my number or requested an email response neither responded. It wasn't until I threatened to take legal action that the Sales Manager contacted me via email.<br> <br> After looking into the situation, it was determined that my goods had not yet left Cape Town (a month after packing) and SVL expected me to pay the additional funds (even with admission of the \human error").
