StuttafordVan Lines - THE WORST MOVE YOU CAN MAKE

We used Stuttaford van Lines for relocation down to George. We took out additional insurance should something happen and as luck would have something happened.

Our damages are severe as it looks like the truck was in an accident. They collected the furniture and boxes with the Stuttaford truck, and when they arrived down in George, they unloaded from a Pickfords truck, we never gave consent to Stuttaford van Lines to repack our goods onto another truck, and we havent received any feedback from them on this regard.

We suffered damaged to the following: Bed - base broken gasbraai - damaged beyond repair, door and inside of braai broken gazeba - frame bent and cover torn antique table- table top broken in two, feet broken antique chair - foot broken entire box of crystal wine glasses broken wooden picture frame broken.

That is only the major damages, we havent lodged a complaint with minor damages to our furniture ect.

The boxes was damaged, squashed, it looked like they were thrown from one to one side in the truck.

The insurance that was taken out was for nearly R200 000 on our furniture, and the damages is estimated at R20 500. They gave us a proposal for R6000, we rejected. Now no one comes back, responds to emails or calls, and it is really turning into a big frustration as the insurance company keeps on postponing.

Stuttaford van Lines is responsible for our losses, and due to their negligence our property got damaged. They havent contacted us at all to find out if we were satisfied or just to give us an explanation on what happened to our property.
