Stuttafords Port Elizabeth.

We contacted them to quote for our move from Port Elizabeth to Auckland.

The slaves lady missed the appointment, after rescheduling we were sold on them as she was very good.

Problems started after the goods were collected. No communication for weeks. After all the calls, emails and threats to superiors we finally got answers.... Vague and full of fluff.

We paid for a shared container, we were told they fill up very quickly due to the circumstances in SA. We waited almost two weeks longer than usual and had to fight for responses.

We bought the insurance and was made very aware to insure replacement values for the items in the destination country.

We completed the forms with dollar values as per the fine print on the document.. "Please note to value replacement cost for the items in the country of destination." On the document it states the destination country as Auckland New Zealand, but nowhere does it state any currency.

After eventually receiving our belongings, fighting with Stuttafords to find out where our container was, we found some items destroyed and some missing.

We lodged a claim with the values is dollars as per the instructions on the documents, only to find out on the acceptance or reimbur*****t that those values should have been in ZAR and now my claim is under insured.

After raising this with the forwarding company and insurer I have been sent from pillar to post.

I have on email from Stuttafords employees that they told me to be ********** and over estimate the values of my items for the event of claim.

We did not do that as the understanding was to complete the form with values from the country of destination as per the terms and conditions.

At the very least then the document is ambiguous.

Now they claim that I was informed and that the policy premium that was paid in ZAR was the indicator that all values are in ZAR.

I find that misleading. I have asked them to produce FAIS and Fica docs that I signed and they have not. I did not sign any docs where this was explained to me.

They are unprofessional and thieving scoundrels preying and capatalising on the vast majority of people entrusting them with their worldly possessions and memories.

I will continue to fight them for what is fair.
