my goods were suppose to be in Durban 13.08.2015

I have a storage contract with Stattufrod van lines that , my goods were in East London storage but they knew that I reallocating to Durban and they were paid by my company to move my goods to Durban They decided to use East London storage and they stated on their contract that If I need my goods I must give hem 30 days' notice. On the 13.07.2015 I sent them an e-mail that was asking them to release my goods on the 13.08.2015. I signed my lease for the new property to start on the 15.08.2015 but till today I haven't received my goods. Since I sent them the e-mail they never called me or send a message informing me when my goods will arrive. On the other hand I'm paying rent on the property till today but I haven't moved inn because of them. On the 2nd September 2015 I called their office in East London, 1 st they said they didn't know about the e-mail , after I insisted on sending them proof later they found the e-mail and they were not sure where my goods were. Then the following day they called and said my goods are Durban I can collect them now. Above that they charging me storage for August and September which I'm not prepared to pay because I don't owe them anything

Hello lungilemngoma,

A very good day to you!

I regret that your mail is inaccurate and not factually presented to the Public at large.

Your consignment was collected on 15 September 21014 and delivered to our Durban storage facility on the 23rd September 2014. We deny not having knowledge of where your consignment was, as we meticulously keep a detailed record of all of our valued customers' belongings and we therefore knew exactly where your consignment was at all times.

Your request to deliver your consignment was clearly understood and we went into detail to explain that regrettably, your employer, who paid for your move into store, would not pay for the re-delivery and storage. These charges were communicated to you and we requested your confirmation and acceptance of these charges.

As no confirmation was ever received from you, we merely retained your consignment in store, pending your further instructions on how to proceed.

I respectfully request that you retract this complaint in order that we rather deal with this matter offline and reach a more amicable conclusion to this otherwise unhappy situation.

I look forward to our further contact in this regard

With best regards,

Mel Potgieter
