Insurance problems

Our removal delivered on 12 December 2014 after a 6-week storage period, with considerable damage and a few missing items. I duly filed a claim. The claims administrator gave me a runaround with respect to all of the damaged and missing items, i.e. I was essentially the assessor which took 3 months. Eventually I was sent a subrogation/acceptance form. There were missing items so I responded rejecting the offer. An amended form was submitted to me, the missing items were added and some others were left off. In desperation I signed acceptance in the hope that a speedy settlement would be reached. Following this I started getting a runaround from the claims administrator with respect to the salvage of a piano that was a total writeoff after delivery. After they settled the piano repairer's assessment fee, the piano was not collected and it was only some 9 days later after my enquiry that the claims administrator woke up and collected it. It was only then that my part of the claim processing was commenced. From all aspects it appears that there was a deliberate attempt to drag out, delay, obstruct, call it what you will, my claim, as well as decrease the settlement amount!
