Complaint lost goods
I had delivered to Stuttafords 21 boxes mid 2017 from Namibia by a reputable Namibian removal company. They signed fir this as receiving 21 boxes as per tge inventory list. This was stored up to early 2019 and redelivered back to Namibia.
During the storage period Stuttafords CT repacked my 21 boxes, as I was considering shipping this to New Zealand, but this was cancelled and the boxes returned to Namibia.
My unhappiness is that Stuttafords repacked my 21 boxes only into 19 boxes, thus missed two of them I had sent, and I am now missing some valuable goods.
I’ve taken this up with CT to check in their storage facility for the two missing boxes, but I get excuses sent to me even suggesting I’m confused and must recheck the boxes I received, if I unpacked them all!
I have sent CT a photo showing all 19 boxes unpacked. I personally unpacked each Box myself which stood inside my home, so there is ano chance somebody stole my goods , as nobody helped me unpack.
I sent a detailed typed inventory list with the 21 boxes I sent to CT originally, stating content, box number, weights and sizes of each box.
I am hardly an disorganized person when it comes to moving. I’ve done 14 major moves in my life, all boxes packed and inventorised by myself, and I’ve never lost a box or had broken items.
I’m very unhappy about this situation and won’t use Stuttafords again.
What annoys me most is the suggestion by CT branch that I don’t know how to unpack and check my own box receiving correctly.
The delivery inventory was checked box for box, number by number, against the Stuttafords inventory list personally by myself. I am 100% sure I received the exact quantity as listed.
My question is how can 21 boxes of good suddenly fit only into 19 boxes? Clearly two of my original sent boxes were not repacked!
They can only be misplaced in the storage facility or git list before the repacking took place.
