Abusive business model

My decision to use Stuttaford Van Lines for my international relocation has been one of the worst decisions I have ever made Their website shows a company that ‘cares’ and adheres to ethical standards and excellence of service What a gross misrepresentation this is Stuttaford Van Lines needs to be exposed for the ************ that they are I initially used them to store my household and personal possessions and it all appeared as I had read on their website Once I found a place to live I gave them the go ahead for the shipment and got a referral of an Insurance company from them This was supposed to be a company that they said they always used and was according to them the best one What a rude awakening it was when the container arrived at my new residence and the customs seal was broken in front of myself and the truck driver and the unpackers We were horrified to see the manner in which my container had been packed. A haphazard mess of boxes and furniture negligently shoved in to the container. Heavy boxes were piled on top and in between expensive delicate furniture Resulting in enormous damage to my few treasured expensive pieces of furniture that I had wanted to grow old with They now lie upside down in my garage minus legs and back supports with shattered pieces of wood There has been theft of expensive duvets and pillows from Stuttaford boxes that had been slit down the corners Probably with a box cutter. Only two items of delicate furniture were crated and the rest was put underneath the weight of heavy boxes. Instead of using a bulkhead to stabilize a half empty container they used my beds There is no other way to describe the situation than pure abuse of ones property Stuttaford Van Lines website is a gross misrepresentation of what they are and anyone considering relocating must be made aware of the way they deal with a customer and ones shipment Stuttaford Van Lines slogan “the safest move you can make “ is a gross misrepresentation of the truth I was once a valued and respected customer This was while I stored my goods and was paying a monthly fee Then they treated me with care and respect In fact right up until I paid my shipping and insurance (a Stuttaford referral ) From the time of the arrival and subsequent opening of the container I am dealing with a nightmare and am still in a state of disbelief and distress Now that I am attempting to get recompense for their negligence and abuse and theft of property they refer to their terms and conditions At this point I am being fobbed off by their insurance underwriters agent. They had sent me an initial ‘proposal of settlement’ which is an insult rather than a settlement The amount they are suggesting would not be enough to repair one item of furniture And that is if repair was a possibility , which it is not! Stuttaford Van Lines are true ************ and they need to be exposed for what they are. Something needs to be done about them The public need to be aware not to consider using them I have now seen shocking reviews of them on various websites If only I had been aware of their substandard service and subsequent evasive business model. I hope that this review will help anyone who needs to do a move make a better decision than to use Stuttaford Van Lines
