STSS (Sectional Title Support Service) Fibre - Awful Customer Service and Communication

Good Day All

Sectional Title Support Service (STSS) along with Metrofibre have installed fibre in our complex. It started in March and finally they came to install the router on the 18 July. During this time no communication was sent to update us on the progress or when it would be activated.

After asking the company installing the fibre for timelines and forecasts, we were told not to cancel any of our current service providers as they couldn't give us a timeline.

I received a phone call that they wanted to install the router, brilliant. The installed the router. Nothing was sent or explained to me that the fibre will be activated from that point forward or given an option of when I would like the service activated.

I now have been invoiced for July and August for an activation I was unaware of and did not approve.

After many emails back and forth asking for information they sent to me, or the approval I gave for the activation, they to date have not been able to provide me with this information.

I have an internet service provider that I am currently using that requires a months termination notice period. This now leaves me having to pay a double bill due to the lack of communication from STSS and Metrofibre.

If your complex is looking at installing fibre, please be aware that STSS customer service is shocking and their communication to their customers is awful.

I do not recommend going with STSS and Metrofibre.

Regards Craig

We are sorry to hear about your frustrations.

STss and Metrofibre use reasonable measures to comply with requested installation dates, however, this will depend on the availability of equipment, service providers and contractors.

At STss we understand that the fibre project was assigned to a Trustee at the complex, to undertake the communication with the Residents during this time. We understand that communication was sent to the responsible Trustee to confirm that the fibre went live.

Furthermore, we understand that you were contacted to schedule a date and time for the contractor to gain access to your unit for the purpose of installing and activating the service that you ordered.

The login and data usage show that the service has been utilised from the installed router since 18 July 2019, to current. This is the same date that we received confirmation that the service has been activated.

As per the terms and conditions, we cannot detect any problems raised by you within 48 hours after the installation of the service and therefore you were billed accordingly, as per the terms and conditions.

You are billed for the supply and delivery of the services, including the equipment and installation, for the monthly service fee, and the usage charges as specified in the proposal. We believe these conditions have been met in full.
