Never move into a complex that uses STSS prepaid watering unless you don't mind paying money for consumption that they make up.

The biggest **** that ever existed in water and electricity metering. They charge fees one would pay in affluent estates and they keep talking about their smart metering. I pay an average of R700 for water because according to them my 2 bed unit occupied by 2 people uses over 12 KL of water every month, they bill days when the unit is not occupied. Their customer service is the worst, they cannot explain anything properly and keep saying they bill according to meter readings, they cannot answer how the billing works because the unit still gets billed when there is no1 at home. I suspect they set up these meters to move even without any consumption. Electricity billing is a joke also daily rate of R6.61 , now this you pay daily whether u use electricity or not, then there is that peak on the daily consumption that happens mostly when I am not home, somehow there seems to be a ghost that uses water and electricity in my unit when I am away. And they will never re-reimburse you, it doesn't matter how many emails you write or how many calls you make. they run a take it or leave it kind of business...... I am so annoyed, I wish I had read reviews posted by others before I signed the lease in this complex

With reference to the email sent by our General Manager at 8:31 AM on 2020/08/26, the billing of the unit is supported by the meters owned by Surrey Hills. Your electrical meter does show fluctuating use daily, as expected based on lifestyle and occupation.

The tariffs app****, including the water charge mentioned is determined by the local council. STss is not a reseller, and thus does not determine the tariffs.

Please log a ticket with the landlord should you require a test on the water meter to confirm its allocation to your unit.
