Being charged, on average, R161 per day for electricity...13 weeks and still no assistance
I lodged a query with STss on 24th January 2019 regarding the ******ionate electricity usage of my unit. You are more than welcome to request all of the e-mails from Johan Barnard, I am not going to waste more of my time going through the whole situation. In short, the STss wallet is deducting, on average, R161 for electricity per day for a single occupant unit. It has now been 13 weeks, and I am yet to receive any form of positive feedback from STss. I have now been charged R953 for water for a 12 day period. I will be lodging an official complaint with the Gauteng Rental Housing Tribunal as I no longer receive any form of feedback from STss and I am tired of being ignored.

Following previous correspondence, an issue was identified with your meter and technicians were dispatched to investigate the matter on site. Following the first investigation a check meter and replacement meter were installed between the 22nd and 25th of March 2019 by the site electricians. On 25 March, 4 April, 15 April and 24 April we sent a technician to perform physical meter readings. The actual meter readings confirmed that the smart meter charges were billed accurately. We have set the pre-paid system to ensure that your account does not disconnect irrespective of the balance during the investigation. The site electricians that originally installed the electrical meter have been contacted and provided with your contact details in order to investigate the source of the high consumption of the respective unit.

03 Jun 2019, 13:43Another five weeks later (19 weeks in total) and this has STILL not been resolved. And now you are charging me on average R47.94 per day for water!!! This is excluding the R3.23 you already charge per day for Common Area Water and Water Service Fee.
