Unable to Obtain Outstanding Balance Due to Poor Service and Conflicting Information

I am lodging this complaint because I am experiencing significant difficulty in obtaining information required to settle my outstanding MTN account.

On 08/06/2026, I contacted MTN to request the outstanding balance on my account so that I could pay the amount owing, settle the matter, and begin restoring my credit profile. MTN informed me that the account was being handled by Strauss Daly Attorneys and provided me with their contact details.

I contacted Strauss Daly Attorneys and initially spoke to a staff member who referred me to their call centre. When I reached the call centre, the consultant I spoke to was rude, raised her voice at me, and informed me that they had not been dealing with MTN matters since 2025. She stated that she did not know why I was calling and made me feel as though I was wasting her time.

As someone who is actively trying to resolve and settle an outstanding debt, I found this treatment highly unprofessional and unacceptable. I am making a genuine effort to pay what is owed, yet I am being redirected between parties without receiving the information I need.

1. Provide me with the correct outstanding balance on my MTN account. 2. Confirm who is currently responsible for managing the account. 3. Provide the necessary payment details so that I can settle the account immediately. 4. Issue a paid-up letter once payment has been received and allocated.

I am not disputing the debt or attempting to avoid payment. My sole objective is to settle the account and obtain confirmation that the matter has been resolved. I therefore request urgent assistance and a clear resolution from MTN.
