REFUND PLEASE

I am coming to you as a last resort. I bought an unit in Amberg Estate. Strauss Daly Attorneys in the Tyger Waterfront handled the transfer of the deed. In the last ‘Statement of Account’ that was prepared by the Attorneys an amount of R1290 was deducted for pro-rata levies. The amount did not make sense to me at that time and I queried this without getting a reply. When I received my first levy account from Voltano (the company handling the admin of Amberg Estate) a pro-rata amount was included in the account, which I paid. After numerous emails over weeks I still have not received the R1290 back that I paid to Strauss Daly Attorneys. The last feedback from the Attorneys to Voltano: There must be a credit on your side as the matter was registered 12 July 2018 and all the levies were paid by seller and purchaser until end of July 2018 from our firm to receive the Levy Clearance Certificate . The last feedback from Voltano to Strauss Daly: Let’s do it then this way, send me a copy of the statement like you did with PTN 175 in order for us to transfer what ever money needs to be transfered please. Silence after that. But this silence is not golden.
