ABSURD BILLING!

My standard bank credit account was handed over to you with an outstanding amount of R7178. 39, this was around April/May. I paid my first installment with you on the 23rd of May 2018 and have been paying an amount of R500 since then. Till date I have paid in total R3000 but my current balance is R5608. 83. According to my calculations, this means that from the R3000 only R1569. 56 has gone towards my credit card account, leaving an exceess amount of R1430. 44...I have asked for a statement and haven't had any response, only today when I called in was I told that I will be charged R25 per page for a statement. Can you please explain how one is billed and can I have a breakdown of where the excess amount went to.... I hope this doesn't fall on deaf ears!!!
