They are refusing to close my account!!!

I called the Foschini Group call centre yesterday to close my account but was turned down ! I was told that my account is in credit by R25.00 and that I would have to make a purchase first and then pay the balance and then only they can close the account . I struggled to pay this account and finally I get the money to close it they want me to spend more money to close it ! I was led to believe that they are no other alternatives ! They can keep the R25.00 , write it off or whatever I just want the account closed . I will not be bul**** into using this account again !!!
