Sterns the Glen, deceiving people to make a sale

I am absolutely disgusted. My girlfriend took me to look at engagement rings last weekend. And after much debate due to the price I chose one that I liked which was a bit above her budget. Just to deal with a young gentleman there who seemed to be a trainee because it took us over a half an hour to seal the deal. So the ring needed to be resized to fit my finger, according to the young gentleman it would take 3-5 working days, we both excited and accepted the offer. A week later/today my girlfriend drives 30 minutes out of her way to go collect the ring, only to find out there is a charge for resizing!!! And the resizing fee was half the price of the value of the ring. Being under so much pressure to get me what I really liked she didn't hesitate to pay.... I am infuriated because these hidden costs should have been explained prior to rushing us to pay for the ring. The gentleman was not there so the lady who helped my girlfriend stated could she please come back tomorrow to try speak to the manager regarding this issue! Totally unacceptable. Deceiving people to pay for a ring just to find out making it smaller costs half as much as the entire ring.. Please Sterns I would like feedback before I take this further. I am a consumer and I know my rights, such costs should be disclosed before letting a customer pay and sign paper work
