Sterns Somerset Mall Poor Communication

Hi i bought a gift with earings for my partner at Sterns Somerset Mall and the staff advice me that i can bring it back within 30 days if my partner is not happy with the gift. I gave it on the special occasion but she didn't like the quality and i took it back to Sterns Somerset Mall but they refuse to take back the earings even though its not been worn yet. The communication was bad, i would've never bought it if i knew that i wasn't able to bring it back. We don't want the money back we just want to change it for something better.
