sizing extra cost.

i bought a wedding band and ring at sterns in n1 city. the ring is one size too big and wanted to have it resized, they said it would cost R400 and when i called another branch they said R200. My issue is that this should not be at an extra cost. I have asked around at certain other jewellry stores and they offer the service at no cost for the first sizing. Also they say it will take up to 7 working days. i am getting married on 2nd March and that leaves me with 2 days before the wedding, if things get delayed i will have no ring. i really find this unfair to the customer, spending thousands for the sizing not to be free on purchase. i have the ring and am wearing it as i didnt want to be without an engagement ring and also wanted to get to the bottom of this issue.

also i first went to the blue route store and the woman that served me had no clue about the ring i asked her questions about the diamond carat etc. and it seemed as though she had no clue what i was talking about and had to ask her collegue. i tried on two rings and she took them both out and put the rings back on the wrong stand where the price is. so each ring was advertised at the wrong price. i had to correct her on this as well.

N1 city had stock of the ring we bought and we enquired about the zanzibar competition and the staff memeber had to go and ask the manager and even she wasnt 100 percent sure but eventually figured it out.

Training should be given to staff.
