My ruined wedding ring

I am married 6 months and at 4/5 months my wedding ring started fading in colour and started turning yellow.. yesterday I went back to sterns in canal walk and the lady told me and my husband mother ,cause my husband mother bought the ring it was a surprise I never saw my ring until the day of my wedding, it's a 3 piece set ring, and this lady told me of working with chemicals etc the more we said I don't work with my ring on when I'm home , so then she said all the silver rings and white gold rings turn yellowish because of the sanitizer, but after reading many people reviews since 2018 its been a problem with rings turning yellowish, and then we wanted to get it buffed and polished and we have a certificate which say we must hand that in to get the ring cleaned ,but they want to charge us almost R2000 a ring to clean.. RIDICULOUS...
