Fossil watch repair

Bought a watch from sterns on the 14/09/17 and made sure to ask if the watch is water proof etc. and was told yes it was. The watch even states on it 10atm. I swam with the watch once and it was for about 5 mins. Two days later I noticed moisture in the watch so I took it back to sterns on the 23/11/17 which is not even three months later and I'm already having problems with a brand new watch.

They told me it would be sent away and would take something on the line of 4 - 6 weeks if I can remember correctly. I asked if the watch would be replaced or if it would be repaired or assessed etc. as I know from previous experiences that repaired watches don't really last that much longer in my opinion. She told me it was going to Fossil itself so it would be sorted out and she would be notified what the next step would be.

I decided to phone sterns on the 6/12/17 at about 10am and asked if they had received a report as to what was going on with the watch, someone took down my details and said they would phone back. Phoned back at about 15H00 and was told the guy was busy they would phone back tried to phone again at 16H00 they said the guy had just gone out the shop quick they will phone me back, tried to phone again at about 17H15 twice and no answer and then got a call back about a minute later saying they haven't looked at the watch as yet but it should be done sooner than expected because the workshop apparently closes on the 15th so they tryna finish everything before then otherwise it will be done next year.

Phoned again on the 8/12/17 to find out if there was a report. He said nothing yet I said I'd phone next week. Phoned again on the 12/12/17 at about 14H00 and she said some stuff had just arrived she would check and phone me back. I phoned back at 16H00 she said oh she would phone me back right now, phoned back about 5 mins later saying she couldn't find anything on the system using my name could I please get my JC number o the receipt and she will phone me back. Phoned back in 5 mins and said nothing was there yet but it's too late to phone the workshop she would contact them in the morning and phone me back. I said I've been told that so many times but nobody phones back and she assured she would phone back.

I Phoned back 13/12/17 just before 12 and someone took my details down again and said they would phone me back, an hour later I decided to phone back and was told oh yes the person just gave me the message and I was just about to phone you, I've emailed them(the workshop) and waiting for a reply they should reply by tomorrow.

Does it take that long to actually get a fault report on a watch? The amount of calls and calls that sterns doesn't answer is almost gonna be more than the amount I spent on the watch. As far as I know the watch is lying at the workshop somewhere. Spend R2799 on a watch that lasts for 2 months and then spends more time being at the workshop than me wearing it just about and I'm hoping this will be the last of the problems with it but time will tell.
