Dissatisfied-Bad costumer Service

I‘m very disappointed with bad service I received at Sterns the Glen, such poor customer service, I gave the shop a chance to redeem themselves but instead they continue to show their incompetence.

We made a lay-bye on a ring, sales lady never advised on resizing or special order. I thought the shop has them different sizes, my husband payed off the lay-bye and collected the ring 3 weeks back (2nd May) upon collection the store did not have proper packaging, packaging was from America Swiss and box was worn out which for me was inappropriate.

The next day I took the ring back because it was small and the ladies on the floor made a very funny/ rude remark that this ring is "dramatic“ simply because my husband complained about the packaging and that was deemed as dramatic. I was advised the ring cannot be resized 4 sizes up therefore the store has to make a special order. My question is, why was this information not communicated to me upon purchase? I guess the sales lady was excited about sales and forgot to do her work right?? I advised the manager that I won’t incur any extra cost should the quotation for special order be more than the actual price of the ring, I’m willing to pay the price for resizing though, she advised let’s wait for the quotation.

I received a call from Puseletso a week ago that I should come to the store within 7 days to pay R800 for resizing, I questioned the R800 she said it’s because the ring was gonna be resized 4 sizes up???? Are we talking about resizing again? I’m confused. Though I was not convinced, I still sent my daughter go to the store to pay the R800 as per request.

Now this is what drove me nuts, when she gets to the store she’s told to go back I will only pay the R800 when the ring is back😳 I immediately called the store cause they called me to come and pay!!! and when I called the story is different now. I’m told, the manager is not around I should come when the manger is around so she can authorise, No1 how am I suppose to know if the manager is on duty or not? why did Puseletso not advise on the times the manager is on duty? Do I work for Sterns where I would know if the manger is available or not?

Please advise on what should be done on this matter? otherwise can we get a refund for the ring, will give business to stores that respect customers and the business they bring.
