Bad experience

I had a very unpleasant experience at Sterns Tygervalley today.

I was outside the store, standing to the side of their entrance, completely out of the way and not inside the store or blocking anyone. I was simply answering a text message because I didn't want to walk and use my phone at the same time. I had been standing there for barely a minute when a lady inside the store asked me to move.

I was not loitering, I was not blocking the entrance, and I was not interfering with any customers. I was literally standing to the side of the entrance for less than a minute while replying to a message.

I found this unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. There was absolutely no reason for me to be approached in that manner when I was clearly just answering a message and was not causing any disturbance.

I understand that the area outside a store may be something they want to keep clear, but there is a polite way to communicate that. Being asked to move after barely a minute, while standing to the side of their entrance and completely out of the way, left a very poor impression of Sterns Tygervalley.
