Why have self help that does not work

When to see the 14h15 Jungle book at Brooklyn. When trying to book in, everything works except the payment - on three machines tried and my and my wife's cards. Majority of people complained about the same issue. Then let someone help me in the non-self help booth which worked, although I could not enter my club card, therefore lost those points! So I went into the theatre and sat doen, ON A BROKEN CHAIR (F2). Not a great experience!
