Useless Customer Service

Let me take you on my journey, so far, in an attempt to watch Rogue One: A Star Wars story...

Nov 29: Booked for showing on the 9th of December at Cresta, as it was listed on the website.

Nov 29: Called Ticket Line afterwards to confirm that this was a real listing. They confirmed it was.

Dec 5: Called to say that it was a system error and I will get my money back as well as complimentary tickets.

Dec 5: Booked for 14 December showing at IMAX Cradlestone. Website gave error after completing payment.

Dec 5: Called Ticket Line to ask if my booing did happen. Received assurance that it was booked. Reference WT7JJLS

Dec 14: Get to movie theater on at 18:00 (30KM from my house). System shows no booking on my credit card.

Dec 14: Call ticket line and get reference number again. Theater has no record of my reference number.

Dec 14: Go back and forth between Ticket Line and theater management for an hour before being told that my booking essentially did not happen. (Theater staff really did try everything they could to resolve this.)

Dec 14: Go to restaurant and pay for my cold meal that my wife had ordered while I was going to "quickly" get tickets.

Dec 14: Call Ticket Line and speak to manager. Get told I will be called.

Dec 15: Call Ticket Line again in morning and speak to another manager. This time told I will be called by 1PM.

Dec 15: Call Ticket Line back at 2PM to find out what is going on. Manager says I will receive a call shortly as she has escalated the matter.

Dec 15: Get call from movie theater manager saying that they were told by Veejay that I said they were rude and refused to help me. I apologise to manager and say that this was in no way the theater's fault and that it is not his responsibility to fix this.

Dec 15: Call Ticket Line manager and ask to speak to Vijay. Am told that Veejay is in meeting and she will get her to call me as soon as she is available.

Dec 15: I finally get through to Vijay. I am told Matthew (regional manager) is the person to talk to, but she has no number for him. I manage to get the number myself. Matthew is highly apologetic and very willing to make up for what happened, but Vijay apparently never contacted him.

This has been a frustrating journey and I cannot comprehend the level of incompetence it has taken to get to this point. All that I have had from Ster Kinekor is a continuous passing of the buck. First they make the theater responsible for their mistake, then they make the regional manager responsible. Not at any point to they make someone on their side responsible for what has happened. I have not been contacted by a single person at Ticket Line. I have been doing all the calling and forcing progress out of them

I am frankly disgusted with how Ster Kinekor has handled the situation.

Please accept my sincere apology on behalf of Sterkinekor. I am very sorry to learn about your experience at the Ticket line we will forward a complaint to the manager.
