Unacceptable
On Sunday night, four of us went to watch 'Daddy's Home' at cinema prestige in Eastgate. I prepared my girlfriend for the 'adventure' that we were about to have as she has never been to a prestige movie before. However, upon arrival things only went downhill. First it took 10 minutes for somebody to come and take our order and that was after we looked around for someone to help us. Then it took another 10 minutes of waiting until we got our food. We were told we had to wait for the bill before we could go into the cinema. After waiting and waiting we went into the cinema before paying because the movie had started. They eventually found us inside with the bill. But things only got worse. My girlfriend and I were in the love seats and were highly disappointed to find that none of the seat functions worked. Her side wouldn't even switch on. We asked one of the staff members to help us who gave up in defeat as there was nothing he could do. We had to sit in the 'prestige' seats without being able to recline and only one of us being able to make use of the leg rest. It was a pathetic experience which left us with a bad taste for the 'newly renovated' cinemas at Eastgate. So unfortunate
