Ster-Kinekor Refuses Refund After Movie Cancelled

Yesterday I decided to take my girlfriend to the movies, we live quite far from any theatres so we had to make a lot of arrangements to be able to attend a movie. We arrived at Kolonnade Shopping centre at 18:30 to make sure we get tickets for the 20:15 show of the new Avengers movie. We then went to Spur for a quick dinner. After dinner I got popcorn and slushpuppies and proceeded to the movie.<br> <br> While we waited for the movie to start the power went out (Loadshedding). I did not immediately see this as a problem because i expected the generator to start up any second.<br> <br> Ster-Kinekor does not have generators!! They will sell you tickets even though the loadshedding schedule told them there will be loadshedding. They will not warn you before you buy tickets that you may not be able to watch the movie you paid for.<br> <br> Ok so now I expect a refund, but the manager at the movies was very unprofessional and started shouting at me. And he said I must come back some other day to get my refund, and I can only get a refund for the movie and not for my popcorn or slushpuppies (Which i did not touch yet). What did this night cost me:<br> R150 for petrol<br> R160 for movie tickets<br> R129 for refreshments.
