Ster Kinekor Cresta

<p>What a bad experience at the new Ster Kinekor at Cresta Shopping Centre. From waiting in a line to get refreshments, to be told we had to go back and order it using the self service portal. There was no-one around to assist with the new system (except one lady to goodness knows how many people) so it was like the blind leading the blind. We were not the only ones who had to figure this out ourselves. Can you imagine a crowd of people...they would end us missing first part of movie because it takes so long to order. Sometimes the buttons did not even work correctly...had to push so hard to tap the screen to get them to work. The cashier behind the refreshments desk did not really care either. We finally got our refreshments (another customer complaining because they could not mix slushies...to which her response "the machine won't allow it." How can that be? You just need to put a cup under it, open the tap and pour; so how hard is it to just fill half one flavour and half the other? It does not cost any more or less. Same value for same amount, just two different flavours. We all just ended up laughing and shaking our head. Nothing wrong with the machine, the operator is the problem. Anyway, we finally made it in (the ticket lady was really friendly, I wish I remember her name, she was super sweet) and when we started watching, the screen was extremely dark, so we had to strain our eyes trying to watch it. (Ghostbusters in 3D). I went to ask someone to please try and assist (same thing, like it was an effort to assist me) I think I first spoke with a "Mdu...or Ndo...can't remember her name" who said someone would assist. So I went back inside. About 10 mins later, went out again. The same sweet ticket lady then called someone else to help me, and after trying to explain the movie quality is bad, she responded "well that is how the movie is made" and she started getting 'cheecky' with me. I then said 'hold on a second, I am the customer, you should not be getting rude with me. I paid R 150.00 for 3 tickets, lost out on almost 30 mins now of the movie to be told this" she then said "but we are waiting for technicians to fix it, all the screens are like this" which to me, why on earth would you open a cinema that is not ready, or needs fixing. I said this to her and she kept saying 'would you like another ticket' and I said NO!! Why would I want another when I am already in this movie! Anyway, I got too worked up at this stage and rather said 'nevermind, I am going to complain elsewere.' Hence my message today. We came out the movie with blood shot eyes and sore. What we did manage to see, we enjoyed the movie...but I am sorry to say, it was an overall bad experience and they need some serious jacking up! It might seem like a small thing to complain about...but I enjoy going to movies and want a good experience. So ja, it was a real let down :(</p> <p>SK Cresta, please get your screens sorted out. We used to love the old cinemas, but the new ones...not worth paying a ticket to go watch there. Which is sad :( so please...fix all issues (from customer service to great movie watching) because you going to end up with more unhappy customers and less profit from sales!! </p>
