I recently had the displeasure of visiting Star Kinekor at Cavendish, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of an utter disaster. The level of incompetence and disregard for customers displayed by this establishment was truly astounding.

Let me start with the primary reason for my visit - to watch the highly anticipated movie, Mission Impossible. Despite contacting Star Kinekor earlier in the day to confirm if load shedding would affect our screening, we were assured that they had a contingency plan in place. Imagine our frustration when, just ten minutes before the movie was supposed to start, we were informed that due to load shedding, the film could not be shown. It is beyond comprehension how a supposedly professional cinema chain could fail so spectacularly in providing accurate information to its customers.

Adding insult to injury, the manager at Star Kinekor, Cavendish, exhibited a level of ineptitude that was both astonishing and infuriating. Despite the obvious dissatisfaction and anger among the moviegoers, the manager refused to come out and address the situation personally. Instead, she hid behind her employees, who were ill-equipped to handle the mounting frustration of the customers. This lack of accountability and refusal to take responsibility for the blunder only served to exacerbate an already infuriating situation.

Furthermore, the attempts made by the staff to placate the upset moviegoers were feeble at best. It was evident that they had received little to no training in handling customer complaints or diffusing tense situations. Instead of offering any meaningful solutions or compensation for the inconvenience caused, they simply reiterated the same insincere apologies over and over again. It felt like they were more interested in pacifying the crowd momentarily rather than addressing the root cause of the problem.

It is unacceptable to mislead patrons by providing false information and then failing to rectify the situation when things go awry. The management's failure to take responsibility for their mistakes and engage with disgruntled customers only highlights their lack of commitment to delivering a satisfactory moviegoing experience.

In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering a trip to Star Kinekor at Cavendish to think twice. The abysmal service, lack of transparency, and complete disregard for customer satisfaction make this establishment one to avoid. There are plenty of other cinema options available that value their customers and strive to provide a superior movie-watching experience.
